Russell Wilson shifted his focus from the football field to his family after a tough 0-3 start to the 2025-26 season, which led to his benching by the New York Giants in September. The quarterback uses his unexpected time off to dote on his wife, Ciara, and their children.

Wilson shared a heartfelt tribute for Ciara’s birthday on Saturday. He posted a video compilation of photos and clips of his wife with a loving caption:

In the post, Wilson highlighted the love and inspiration he finds in Ciara daily while reflecting on the family they are building together. He also teased a special birthday gift for her with an inside joke.

The couple’s story began on March 26, 2015, when they met through a mutual friend at a basketball game in Wisconsin. After a conversation that lasted for hours, Wilson was completely “sold on” Ciara. For Ciara, the connection was solidified by how Wilson embraced her son from a previous relationship, Future Zahir, as his own.
“It was different. I had never had that feeling in my life. It was just, like, calm. We were connecting in every way,” Ciara said during a 2019 “Red Table Talk” episode. “Whenever he would think about me, he would think about my son. And to love me is to love my son. We come together. It’s dope. It’s a different level of love.”
The relationship progressed quickly from there. Wilson proposed during a trip to the Seychelles on March 11, 2016, and just a few months later, on July 6, 2016, the two were married in a private ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England.
This public affection is a common theme for the couple. In a post from July 2025, Wilson again reflected on their relationship, describing meeting Ciara as a sign from God and their life as one full of love, laughter, purpose, and partnership. Together, they have built a loving family and are parents to four children: Future Zahir, Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess.
