‘I’m Getting Roasted’ — Ex-NFL Player Breaks Silence on Polarizing Fashion Choice at Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift Wedding

Former NFL lineman Ross Tucker recently attended Travis Kelce's wedding, but he was apparently "getting roasted" for his clothing attire.

To the casual football fan, Ross Tucker is not a household name. Some might not believe it if you said Tucker had a seven-year NFL career.

So, what makes him relevant today? The retired former offensive lineman retired in 2008 after suffering a career-ending neck injury to his spinal cord. Not long after, Tucker began pursuing a career in media.

NFL Analyst Ross Tucker Chose Comfort over Style in Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift Wedding

Many would argue that Tucker has made a bigger name for himself as an analyst/podcaster than he did on the football field. Now, he’s an Emmy-nominated sports broadcaster whose work has been found on Sports Illustrated, The Athletic, and The 33rd Team.

In other words, he’s managed to become important enough to earn an invite to the recent Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift wedding that took place on July 3.

Except, Tucker now admits that he got absolutely roasted for his clothing choices. Yet, from the way he made it sound, he didn’t care. He’d prefer to be comfortable rather than miserable, even if that means not looking quite as put together as others in attendance.

“I’ve been getting roasted by a lot of people. A lot of people clowning me for wearing the panda sneakers,” Tucker shared on his X handle. “I’m ALWAYS going to put an emphasis on good times as opposed to good things.

“I got REALLY good advice from someone who would know to wear super comfortable rubber soled shoes. Thank goodness, because we danced for over FIVE hours…”

Jokes aside, it sounds like Tucker made the right choice. He said he later had multiple people telling him they wished they’d made the same choice, even calling the decision “genius.”

Five hours is a heckuva long time to be dancing in the same shoes. After all that movement, Tucker’s feet probably felt like he’d just played in his 43rd NFL game.

While he’s since slimmed down from his playing weight of 316 pounds, if I were built like a former NFL lineman like Tucker is, I’d also probably wear the most comfortable shoes one could find too.

Shout out to whichever friend gave him that “REALLY good advice.” Without it, we’d imagine Tucker’s dogs would be barking like Del Griffith on the flight home from New York.
