Most people know Robert Kraft as the longtime owner of the New England Patriots, but his impact extends well beyond football. He has always said that, besides his family, the love of his life has been the Patriots. But who exactly is part of the Kraft family? The Patriots owner has four sons, each with varying levels of involvement in the family business.
Who Are Robert Kraft’s Children?
Kraft has made clear that not all of his sons work with the Patriots daily, but he has said he wants the team to remain in the family for years to come.
He and his late wife, Myra, were married for 48 years. They met in Boston in the early 1960s, married in 1963, and raised four sons. She passed away from ovarian cancer in 2011.
Jonathan Kraft is the oldest son and the one most often in the public eye outside of his father. Jonathan serves as president of the New England Patriots and the Kraft Group. He has played a role in most organizational decisions since the family purchased the Patriots. Though he maintains a relatively low public profile, his influence within the organization is significant.

Daniel Kraft is the second-oldest son, and reports indicate he focuses on the international and business operations of the Kraft family’s companies. He graduated from Tufts University and is president of Kraft Group International. He is also president and CEO of International Forest Products LLC, part of the Kraft Group.
Earlier in his career, Daniel worked with the Patriots as vice president of marketing, overseeing sponsorships and major events after the family acquired the team. Now, he concentrates on international business, but his work remains an important part of the family enterprise.
Josh Kraft is the third son and leads the family’s charitable efforts. He graduated from Williams College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Josh spent more than 30 years with the Boys and Girls Club of Boston, eventually becoming its president and CEO. He now oversees the New England Patriots Foundation and Kraft Family Philanthropies, continuing the charitable work initiated by Myra.
David Kraft is the youngest son and chose a more independent path. In 2012, he left the family business and became involved in a legal dispute over the family trust. Since then, David has largely stayed out of the media and is not involved with the Patriots.
