Terrell Suggs’ career is back in focus as the Ravens legend stands as a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As one of the highest-paid defenders of his era, Suggs was part of a generation of Ravens defenders who shaped football history. The Hall of Fame selection committee will reveal the Class of 2026 on Thursday at NFL Honors.
Terrell Suggs Goes From a Rookie Contract to a Nine-Figure Total
Celebrity Net Worth estimates Suggs’ net worth at $35 million. That number is largely built on nearly $119 million in career earnings tracked by Spotrac.
Nearly all of that came in Baltimore, where he spent 16 seasons and banked more than $105 million.
The path to those numbers began in 2003 when the Ravens selected Suggs 10th overall out of Arizona State.
At 20, he was one of the youngest defensive players ever drafted and immediately delivered, winning Defensive Rookie of the Year. He made $3.1 million in his first year as a pro.

His pay climbed steadily. By 2008, playing on the franchise tag, Suggs earned $8.475 million.
A year later, Baltimore committed long-term with a six-year, $62.5 million contract, pushing his 2009 cash to $15.1 million.
The richest season of his career was in 2010 at $24.9 million. He made more than $60 million before turning 30.
Suggs remained a cornerstone through the Ravens’ championship window. He collected $3.4 million in 2011.
He earned Defensive Player of the Year honors that year. In 2012, the Ravens won the Super Bowl, and Suggs made $4.9 million.

The production matched the paychecks. Suggs finished with 886 tackles, 139 sacks, 39 forced fumbles, 60 pass deflections, 15 fumble recoveries, seven interceptions, and three touchdowns. He retired as the Ravens’ all-time sack leader. He is a seven-time Pro Bowler.
Hall of Fame Decision Looms for Terrell Suggs
Suggs is seeking induction in his second year as a finalist after becoming eligible in 2024. The Hall of Fame selection process requires finalists to receive at least 80 percent approval from the committee to be elected.
If chosen, Suggs would join a growing list of Ravens players in Canton. The Class of 2026 will be announced on the eve of Super Bowl week, continuing a tradition that pairs the league’s annual awards show with the unveiling of football’s highest individual recognition.
Suggs and the rest of the 15 finalists will find out their Hall of Fame status Thursday night as a part of NFL Honors.
