Fans of the Baltimore Ravens are reeling after the loss against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football. The 38-30 defeat handed the Ravens a 1-2 record after three games into the season, and fans of the franchise took to X to voice their displeasure.
Marlon Humphrey’s Post-game Social Media Post Backfires
Following the loss to the Lions, the Ravens’ top cornerback, Marlon Humphrey, tweeted a video to address the game. Draped with a towel over his head and with a baby crying in the background, Humphrey made light of the loss.
He said, “We are here at the Marlon Humphrey Show and this is live, fresh off a Monday Night Football … …loss”. He also commented on the atmosphere of the game, “The atmosphere was great, man. I feel like it was pretty rowdy there at the workplace.”

His tweet angered fans who were unhappy with how casually the cornerback took the loss. User @Therego_Deee replied to one of Humphrey’s videos after the game. He wrote, “You can’t be taken seriously when your CB1 is doing a podcast and he’s still getting beat on the same route.”
User @BlockBoy2100 was livid and replied, “I can’t lie….. I’ve never wanted to punch anyone in the face in my life as much as I wanna punch @marlon_humphrey in the face this very moment – EMBARRASSING! #RavensFlock”
User @_Yeef agreed. He commented, “Bunch of podcasters on defense and we wonder why yall get smoked every time u play a competent offense.”
Ravens fan @Harlon_Mumph laments the old days of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. He commented, “I miss that old ravens defense; that wasn’t worried about post career shit until post career. Ray and Ed would never.”
Remembering the past Ravens’ defense was a recurring theme, with @SweezyJN writing, “Teams used to fear the Ravens defense now we got a bunch of clowns”

User @Bateman_Szn7 did not hold back. He replied, “Bro f**k you. Get dog walked and turn around and make a podcast about it. Franchise used to be nothing but dogs. Now it’s a bunch of soft ass MF like you. Fraudulent ass players making 25 million for nothing.”
This user had some advice for Humphrey: “Marlo, stay off Twitter until you can clamp a DB again. You look like Druski running around out there, bro.” User elletalksravens concurred, replying, “Bro, you need to get off the pod and into the lab because you’ve been getting cooked in and off the field, Marlo.”
Humphrey’s horrid night can be summed up by one play. Down a touchdown with two minutes remaining, the Ravens had another chance to get the ball back. They had the Lions near midfield with a crucial 4th-and-2 play.
Humphrey incorrectly guessed that it was a run play and allowed wide receiver St. Brown to beat him downfield. Goff dropped a picture-perfect lob to his target to ice the game. To add insult to injury, he was flagged on the play and still gave up the catch.
