Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton is having a nice offseason as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. The two-time All-Pro recently had his fifth-year option worth $18.6 million picked by the Ravens, and is now engaged. His teammate, running back Derrick Henry, couldn’t be more excited about the outcome.

Derrick Henry Celebrates Kyle Hamilton’s Engagement During French Vacation
Hamilton announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Reese Damm, in a series of pictures on Instagram on Friday. The event occurred on Monday, June 23, on a waterfront in France, with Hamilton dropping to one knee to ask Damm’s hand for a lifetime.
Henry, who signed with the Ravens last season, was ecstatic for his teammate and shared a three-word message to congratulate the safety.
“Congrats, CrashOut K,” the five-time Pro Bowler commented.
Hamilton and Damm are high school sweethearts who have been together since they attended the Marist School in Atlanta, Georgia. Hamilton later went on to play football at Notre Dame for three years before being picked 14th overall by the Ravens in the 2022 NFL Draft.

According to the Daily Mail, Damm graduated from South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and image management. The couple went viral at the 2022 draft when Hamilton’s name was called out. Instead of sharing a hug or a kiss like the typical couple, they showed off their unique handshake.
“So, my girlfriend and I, Reece, Reece Damm, started dating in the sophomore year of high school, and I think we came up with the handshake in junior year or something like that,” Hamilton said at the time. “And so, we’ve just been doing it ever since, and we just decided it seemed like the right time to do it.”

Hamilton had an impressive career at Notre Dame, where he racked up 138 tackles, eight interceptions and seven and a half tackles for loss in 31 games across three years before the Ravens called him. He has been even more impressive in his three years in the league.
The 24-year-old started just two games in his rookie season, but appeared in 16 and racked up 46 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks.
Hamilton, however, took a big leap in his sophomore season. He started 15 games, recording 81 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and three sacks, in addition to a career-high 13 passes defended, en route to his maiden Pro Bowl and First-team All-Pro selections.
Hamilton continued his impressive run last season and finished with 107 tackles, two forced fumbles and two sacks. He made the Pro Bowl again, nabbed All-Pro Second Team honors and finished ninth in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
As evident, the former first-round pick has become a vital part of the Ravens’ defense, and sets his eyes on a Super Bowl ring this season after adding the engagement ring.
