Takeaways from Cowboys Injury Report
- Many important names pop up on this list, chief among them being CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs. Both played the entire game on Sunday, and there weren’t any reported injuries coming out of Week 2, so this may be precautionary. However, it’s worth watching as the week progresses, as both obviously play a crucial role for the Cowboys.
Here is the Wednesday practice report for the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens:
– It’s a back injury for Cowboys DT Mazi Smith who was seen walking off the practice field
– CB Trevon Diggs (foot) and WR CeeDee Lamb (ankle) DNP

- Tight end Jake Ferguson was upgraded to limited for the first time since injuring his knee in Week 1.Jerry Jones and Co. long have said that they expected a short absence, and with his return on Wednesday, the timeline appears to be true. The rest of the week will be important, but all signs are pointing up for Dallas’ TE1.
- Dallas is usually pretty generous about giving its veterans rest early in the week, and with seeing so many big-time names on this report, one could assume that may be the case coming off the heels of a tough loss.Much like Lamb and Diggs, all will be worth watching, and if things stay status quo going into Friday, panic may set in.
- Defensive tackle Mazi Smith started practice but was seen walking inside with a trainer early on. It turns out he injured his back, resulting in a DNP for the day. This a new injury and something that could make an already thin position even thinner.
