As mentioned in the intro, there isn’t much to talk about here. The Rams outclass the Texans in every major area: quarterback, head coach, play-calling, and trench play. Yes, Los Angeles couldn’t cover their -17 spread against the Lions last week. But Detroit has played up to their competition all year and is possibly the best 0-7 team of all time.
Houston doesn’t have nearly as good a roster, nor do they have even a Jared Goff-level QB — which isn’t saying much. Tyrod Taylor gives them the best chance to win games this year, as evidenced by their lone victory coming in Week 1 against the Jaguars with him under center. Yet, he’s been out mending a hamstring injury since Week 2, leaving fourth-round rookie QB Davis Mills to man the ship. And boy, has it been ugly.
The Texans have scored just 39 points in the last five games — Taylor and Co. put up 37 in the season opener. The offense is anemic, and even if Taylor returns to the lineup this week (he will practice for the first time this Wednesday), they face a vaunted Rams defense that’s allowed just 20.9 points per game, tied for seventh in the NFL.

Los Angeles could possibly reach the over on their own in this one. Still, it wouldn’t surprise me if they get up early and take their foot off the gas. Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Tyler Higbee, and Darrell Henderson should obliterate Houston’s underwhelming defense. Meanwhile, Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald could stymie the Texans’ offense on their own.
