Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has had a record-setting first two years in the NFL. His 2024 season was marred by injury in the first half, but in 2023 he was a second-team All-Pro and set multiple rookie records.
He has a long way to go before his NFL career is over, though, and he recently went on a podcast to give his take on who he believes is the best receiver in NFL history.

Julio Jones the GOAT WR, per Puka Nacua
Nacua went on the Join The Lobby show to offer this take that Julio Jones is his answer for the best receiver in NFL history, with his reasoning below:
“Julio Jones. Julio Jones is my favorite. Like, the perfect mixture of like size and speed. Like he could run every route at his size. He kind of rotated between playing X and Z, but something about him. Like, that should be the prototype for every wide receiver. If you want to have a wide receiver body, it should look like Julio Jones.”

There was an interesting back and forth on the show, as the host said that his pick for the GOAT WR in NFL history is Randy Moss, and Nacua explains in the video why he picks Jones over Moss.
Here is what he had to say:
“Randy Moss is hard to beat, but maybe it’s because I’ve only seen highlights of Randy Moss, I never got to see him play … It’s two different things where you get to see somebody live play.
I’ve seen Julio Jones make the most unreal catches … and I’ve seen Randy Moss make unreal catches but it’s also just highlights”
As is any debate talking about the best players in the history of the sport, there really is no “wrong” answer. Both players were among the elite of the elite when they played, racking up obscene stats.

Just looking at raw career total stats, however, Randy Moss does have Julio Jones beat in that respect. Moss is fourth in the NFL in terms of total receiving yards with 15,292, while Jones is at 16th with 13,703.
Moss also has the edge in total career receiving touchdowns, with 156, which is the second-most in NFL history. Jones, meanwhile, is a way down with 66 receiving touchdowns, tied at 61st in NFL history.
Either way, both receivers deserve their shine as among the best at their position when they played. Randy Moss is currently in the Hall of fame, and Jones will most likely be elected when he is eligible in four years.
