As the 2025 NFL offseason rolls on, teams are beginning to put everything in place to make themselves the best entering this upcoming season. However, this is also the part of the offseason where we start to see some outside news take place. For Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay, he made a major life-changing announcement.
McVay did a sit-down interview with “Rams Nation” during his teams OTA’s on Thursday, June 19. McVay was asked how he’s feeling personally and professionally as he prepares for his ninth year as the Rams’ head coach. He delivered some life-changing news regarding he and his wife, Veronika.

McVay opened up by saying he feels grateful for heading into his ninth season with the Rams. He also revealed that his personal experience, as a family man, has helped him become a better football coach.
“I feel really healthy,” McVay said. “I feel very grateful to be able to go into Year Nine, and I think, you know, as you continue to mature as a man and different things are occurring in your life, that I think, like, when you apply what you’re trying to be as a husband, as a father.
“Oh, by the way, that also can help you be a better football coach and a better connector and build more meaningful relationships where you can really impact and I’m really grateful for that,” he said.
McVay also revealed that getting now-Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the Rams was always a possibility, but they “had” to get Matthew Stafford back.
While talking about his wife and his first son, Jordan, McVay dropped the bombshell announcement of his wife being pregnant with their second baby boy.
“We’re having another little boy, too,” McVay exclaims. “So, we’re pregnant with our second and we’re excited about that as well. That’ll be fun.”

McVay has become the face of the Rams since taking over at the helm. He’s turned the team around and made them a force in the NFC West. Next year, with the NFC West wide open, McVay could lead the Rams once again to the playoffs with a goal of the Super Bowl in mind.
However, some news is bigger than football. For McVay, the welcoming of his second baby boy is bigger than anything on the field.
