Arch Manning could land in many different situations in the National Football League when he is eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft. General managers and decision-makers across the league will be intrigued by the possibility of landing yet another quarterback from the illustrious Manning family.
The Los Angeles Rams made an interesting move during the 2025 NFL Draft: They traded with the Atlanta Falcons in the first round. The Rams sent their 26th and 101st picks to the Falcons in exchange for the 46th and 202nd picks in the 2025 draft and the Falcons’ 2026 first-round pick.

Les Snead Discusses Trading With the Atlanta Falcons and Potentially Landing Arch Manning
Arch Manning could be the Rams’ future quarterback after Matthew Stafford retires or when his current contract expires. Manning will finally get his chance to be a starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns during the upcoming college football season. In his first two years in limited action, he completed 63 of 95 (66.3%) of his passes for 969 yards with nine passing touchdowns and two interceptions. He also ran 28 times for 115 yards (4.1 yards per carry) with four rushing touchdowns through 12 games.
Los Angeles is not a team that seems interested in getting first-round picks, as Snead became famous for his ‘F*** them picks’ motto when the team won the Super Bowl some years ago. However, while on ‘The Rich Eisen Show‘ recently, Snead was asked why he traded for a 2026 first-round pick with the Falcons.
“If I knew who was coming out in the draft, that would help,” the Rams’ GM said. “Based on all that’s going on in college football, probably a little tougher to predict who might or might not come back or who may stay for an extra year based on the NIL and those players being able to get paid. That’s still to be determined.”
Even though Snead seemed to downplay any expectations with this answer, the overwhelming opinion seems to be that the team is looking to get a chance at landing Manning in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Athletic’s Diana Russini stated that she has heard whispers about Snead looking to land the Texas quarterback in next year’s draft while on the ‘Scoop City‘ podcast late last month.
“I had a bunch of people in football texting me after the Rams [traded for a 2026 first-round pick],” the NFL reporter said. “They’re like, ‘Arch, Arch. That’s what Les is after.’ But we’ll see.”
The Rams are going to be in the market for a quarterback despite Stafford’s recently agreed-upon extension. He could be moved in the upcoming offseason. It will be interesting to see where the Rams’ picks wind up landing and if Manning decides to enter the 2026 NFL Draft.
