The Las Vegas Raiders are going full-throttle in their Super Bowl 2026 campaign. Having landed one of the top offensive playmakers in each of the last two drafts, the Raiders are now giving a major landscape change to their offensive line.
Brock Bowers led all tight ends in receptions and receiving yards in 2024, in a first-team All-Pro rookie season. Running back Ashton Jeanty threatens to have a similar impact in 2025, as the clear leader in a strong running back class.
It might not stop there, though, as the Raiders are predicted to land their franchise quarterback in the recent three-round 2026 NFL mock draft from PFSN’s Ian Cummings.
Las Vegas Raiders Find Franchise QB in 2026 Mock Draft
The Raiders recently sent a third-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for field general Geno Smith, before handing him a two-year, $75 million extension. The Raiders then threw two darts at the position in the sixth round of April’s draft, with Tommy Mellott (switching to wide receiver) and Cam Miller joining the team.
Yet, Cummings has a somewhat bold prediction. According to him, the team will take a big swing on South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers in Round 1 next year, before developing him behind Smith.
“Geno Smith was extended for two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, prolonging his contract past the 2026 campaign. He’s in his prime right now and in a comfortable setting, but he’ll be 37 years old in 2027. It’s not a bad idea for Las Vegas to go the Jordan Love route in 2026.
“An uncommon talent like LaNorris Sellers, in particular, could be the ideal developmental target for Pete Carroll and John Spytek. At 6’3″, 240 pounds, with 99th-percentile acceleration and cutting flexibility, Sellers is an unnatural creator, and his arm is live.”
Smith is a favorite of head coach Pete Carroll, who no doubt campaigned for the quarterback to be acquired. Smith has a player-friendly $40 million guaranteed in 2025, but that drops to $18.5 million in 2026 and zero guaranteed money in 2027.
If Las Vegas wanted to bring in a young quarterback to develop, the structure of Smith’s contract gives them the perfect opportunity to do so.
What Would LaNorris Sellers Bring to Las Vegas?
Sellers is the epitome of a modern-day QB, with elite athleticism that wouldn’t look out of place at receiver. His 674 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns paint the picture of his explosiveness in the run game. If Sellers could maintain even middling passing numbers in the NFL, he would be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

Sellers’ rushing ability is likely to see him likened to 2025 prospect Jalen Milroe, who was drafted by the Seahawks in the third round of this year’s draft. Sellers has a significantly bigger frame than Milroe, though, at around an inch taller and 25 pounds heavier.
Milroe’s passing numbers were arguably less impressive than Sellers’ last season, though. While Milroe did a lot more on the ground than Sellers did, as the superior athlete, his 16 touchdowns came at a cost of 11 interceptions.
Sellers didn’t break records through the air, either, but he managed 18 touchdowns to just seven picks, taking his two-year total to 20 passing touchdowns, along with eight on the ground.
Sellers presents as a more rounded QB option than Milroe, and may, therefore, be viewed as a higher-floor, lower-ceiling option by teams. That could suit Carroll, a defensive-minded coach who would likely become frustrated with a more hit-and-miss quarterback.
If Cummings’ mock draft is anything to go by, Sellers could be on his way to meet Carroll in Las Vegas next April.
