When the Las Vegas Raiders’ star edge rusher Maxx Crosby talks basketball, people listen. The NFL defensive standout has never been shy about his love for the Los Angeles Clippers, and their latest move has him fired up. With three-time All-Star Bradley Beal now wearing Clippers colors, Crosby couldn’t contain his excitement about what this signing means for his favorite NBA team’s championship aspirations.
What Does Bradley Beal’s Signing Mean for Maxx Crosby’s Clippers?
Following an unsuccessful stint with the Phoenix Suns, Beal agreed to a buyout in order to sign a two-year, $11 million contract with the Clippers.
The move comes at the perfect time for Los Angeles. After Crosby’s Clippers moved Norman Powell to the Miami Heat, a hole at the shooting guard position opened up. Beal heads to Los Angeles to fill that hole, joining two likely Hall of Famers, Kawhi Leonard and Crosby’s good friend James Harden.
The big offseason move for the Clippers prompted a reaction from the Raiders star.

“I’m here for it,” Crosby said, reacting to the move with excitement on his Instagram story.
Crosby has been known to be quite vocal about the Clippers. It is not uncommon for him to take to social media to voice his approval for the team, especially when it comes to his good friend Harden. Like Crosby, Harden showcases a strong resume as a former NBA MVP and 11-time All-Star in his respective sport.

How Does Crosby’s Love for Basketball Show During the Offseason?
Crosby is a big basketball fan, and with the NBA’s annual summer league taking place in Las Vegas, where the Raiders call home, Crosby got the chance to experience some hoops firsthand.
The Raiders star even took the time to meet up with the future of the NBA, Cooper Flagg, who was selected first overall by the Dallas Mavericks at this year’s NBA Draft.

“Dallas got a great one,” said Crosby, as he captioned an image of Flagg and himself at the summer league, in which Flagg was participating.
Based on his consistent performances and skills on the field, Crosby is all about football, but he also has a little love for basketball. It’s clear he keeps up with his Clippers and the NBA, especially when the offseason rolls around.
The Clippers and Crosby have high expectations going into the new season, but with slightly different aspirations. Following the free agent signing of Beal, the Clippers have added another former All-Star to the fold. The Clippers are now in championship or bust mode. If Beal can stay healthy and provide as a third scoring option, the Clippers have all the potential to be real contenders in 2026.
Meanwhile, the Raiders struggled in 2024, but after making some significant acquisitions of both players and personnel, Crosby has high hopes. As we near kickoff for the 2025 season, the Raiders are looking to improve considerably from their four-win campaign in 2024.
Can Crosby and the Raiders return to the playoffs in a wide-open AFC for the first time since 2021? The Raiders and Clippers will be hungry for success in their upcoming seasons, and Crosby is hoping for success from his favorite basketball team and his longtime football home.
