With the Super Bowl only being a week away, the Seattle Seahawks have all their focus on winning the career-defining game. Still, the head coach searches are on for the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders, which means that, for one top coach on the Seahawks, he has had to juggle meetings with those teams.
Tom Brady Influence Looms in Raiders’ Klint Kubiak Pursuit
The Seahawks’ OC, Klint Kubiak, has been a top candidate all season, and it seems he is on his way to Las Vegas after the Super Bowl.
Although the hire cannot be made yet, this is similar to what happened last year with the New Orleans Saints. Current Saints head coach Kellen Moore was the OC for the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. While the Saints could not make the hire official, they also zeroed in on Moore, and the hire became official after the game. It seems like the same thing is happening with Las Vegas and Kubiak.
With this potential hire becoming likely, the NFL world had some strong reactions.
NFL insider Field Yates mentioned his current success, “The Klint Kubiak-Fernando Mendoza pairing is nearing reality. Kubiak has been masterful this year as Seattle’s OC.”

NFL insider Albert Breer explained, “Raiders GM John Spytek was a part of a Super Bowl champion in Denver in 2015 with Gary Kubiak as the Broncos HC. That team beat Tom Brady’s Patriots in the title game. And no one gave Bill Belichick’s Patriots more trouble than the Mike Shanahan Broncos – with Gary Kubiak as OC.”
After yesterday’s interviews, signs point towards the Raiders hiring Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their next head coach, per sources. He can’t officially come aboard until after the Super Bowl.

If everything works out, it seems like minority owner Tom Brady and the Raiders have their next franchise HC.
With the top pick in the draft, a new era of football is coming to Las Vegas.
