Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White went down with an injury in the fourth quarter of Tampa Bay’s game against the Houston Texans on Monday night.
White was tackled on a third-down play with less than eight minutes into the fourth quarter with the Buccaneers leading 14-10.
What Happened to Rachaad White?
White recovered a fumble from Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield. White was tackled by Texans defender Danielle Hunter and stayed on the field.
But White did return to the field as the Buccaneers took the ball back after the Texans kicked a field goal to close the gap to 14-13.

White is in his fourth season with Tampa Bay and has scored 10 touchdowns in his NFL career. As the Texans took a 19-14 lead in the fourth quarter, White had nine carries for 63 yards.
Up until tonight, White had been relegated to seldom-used backup.
He saw a whopping two carries in the Bucs’ Week 1 contest. To his credit, this has easily been the best White has ever looked as a runner, with 63 rushing yards before his injury.
This remains Bucky Irving’s backfield, but White’s performance tonight absolutely earned him more touches going forward. Of course, if his injury is significant, and it certainly does not look like it, Sean Tucker would step into the RB2 role. Given his skill set, he would likely play less than White did tonight, further cementing Irving’s RB1 status.
Fortunately, White is likely okay, and this should be a non-issue.
