Quincy Rhodes is an EDGE from Arkansas projected to be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. This comprehensive scouting report analyzes Rhodes’s draft potential, current mock draft trends, and where he ranks among the top prospects.
Quincy Rhodes’s NFL Draft Potential
Quincy Rhodes Jr.’s raw traits evaluation is extremely appealing. At 6’6″, 275 pounds, he has high-end size, length, and mass, to go along with elite explosiveness, quickness, and high-level bend capacity for his size. However, the production has yet to come against legitimate competition. All five of his sacks thus far in 2025 came against lower-conference opponents, and he’s been almost blanked playing against SEC offensive lines the past two weeks.
Rhodes flashes exciting potential with spins, rips, and speed-to-power reps, but the application is far too inconsistent right now, and that inconsistent leveraging spans to run defense as well. The potential is there for Rhodes to be a Round 1 pick, but we need to see it against legitimate competition first.
CFB Week 9 Update
For the first time this season since his game against Ole Miss, Rhodes produced against SEC competition in Week 9, racking up two sacks against the Auburn Tigers in a 24-33 loss. The consistency on a down-to-down basis is still coming along, and there were times when Rhodes sold out in the run game and lost gap integrity, but overall, his Week 9 showing was a step in the right direction.
His power application looks visibly improved, and it shows: both when slabbing base blocks and preventing displacement and when operating as a pass-rusher. His first sack was excellent: a violent inside-swim where power and explosiveness combined to overwhelm. If Rhodes can continue to stack this momentum, he can realize his early-round potential.
CFB Week 10 Update
Rhodes had an exceptional showing in Week 10 against Mississippi State, and his playmaking motor showed up in both phases of the game. Overall, he notched an absurd 4.5 tackles for loss on the day, and that figure echoes what’s on the tape: Rhodes was always around the ball and was voracious in pursuit, using his quickness, length, and stacking strength to get off blocks, and his closing speed to engulf runners.
He also notched a sack and a forced fumble — the first of which came courtesy of his lethal spin move. Rhodes’ execution is still a work-in-progress, but he’s a tantalizing two-phase talent who could have a strong enough 2026 NFL Draft profile to declare early.
CFB Week 11 Update
Arkansas was on a bye in Week 11. They’ll return to action in Week 12 against the LSU Tigers.
CFB Week 12 Update
Rhodes’ down-to-down execution was inconsistent versus LSU, but the flash plays also came — the plays that often flow from his elite size, athleticism, and motor. The most notable was a tackle for loss in run support, where Rhodes’ athleticism proved crucial. Rhodes still struggles to string together quality technical reps, but if he declares early, that’ll simply be a part of his evaluation. He’ll need additional growth whatever his path forward is, but the upside to be a two-phase disruptor of the highest echelon is there.
