The wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift took place over the 4th of July weekend. Over 1,000 people were invited to the event, including many celebrities and NFL players. But with how many people Travis and Taylor know, you can assume some people were going to be left off the guest list.
Kelce has played in the NFL for 13 years; you can bet he has become friendly with many different teammates and opponents. But someone he has known for over a decade did not get invited to the wedding. Taylor Lewan took to social media to discuss not being invited to the wedding. However, he took the high road and did not seem too upset.
Taylor Lewan Discusses Non-Invite to Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift’s Wedding
Lewan played in the NFL for nine seasons, all with the Tennessee Titans, and made the Pro Bowl three times. He spent many years competing against Kelce, but that did not get him invited to the wedding.
Lewan said in a video he posted to social media, “If you’re getting married, you can invite whoever the (expletive) you want to your wedding. It doesn’t matter who you do or don’t invite; it’s not about you… Travis and Taylor are both phenomenal people; I’ve known Travis very well for over 10 years. All good, I didn’t get invited.”
“Am I gonna give it the next time I see him? Am I gonna say something about it? Am I gonna give him a hard time? I’m gonna razz him up a little bit? No doubt,” Lewan added. “But it’s not that big of a deal, guys. It’s not that big of a deal. And the fact that these news outlets want to make it a big deal, it’s just, it’s nuts.”

You can bet Lewan is not the only person who has a gripe about not being invited. But at some point, the famous couple had to draw a line for the number of people they wanted to attend.

Swift is one of the most well-known people in the world; she could probably have invited thousands of people on her own, but the more people who attended, the harder it was to keep it secret.
The wedding seemingly went off without a hitch this past weekend, even though a few details were released. The couple had plenty of security and played the entire event close to the vest.
