The 2023 NFL Pro Bowl Games are set to take place this week as the league’s best players from both conferences gather at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. While the players have already been announced, who is slated to lead as Pro Bowl Captains in 2023? Here’s everything you need to know about the guys in charge of the AFC and NFC rosters.
Captains at the 2023 Pro Bowl
The NFL identified two Pro Bowl captains for each conference’s squad. As part of the revamp to the 2023 Pro Bowl, the league tasked Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning and Omaha Productions with adding a bit of spice to the all-star event.
While Peyton and his brother, Eli Manning, will coach the AFC and NFC, respectively, they also have pseudo-captains for their respective conferences. Who will join the Mannings as the official Pro Bowl captains for each squad?
AFC Captains: Snoop Dogg & Peyton Manning
Almost a year after performing at the Super Bowl halftime show with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg returns to another NFL event. Snoop has been an NFL fan his whole life, falling in love with the Pittsburgh Steelers back in the 1970s. He’s done work with the Manning brothers before, appearing on ESPN’s “ManningCast” for Monday Night Football in Week 17 of the 2021 season.

As for Peyton, the seven-time first-team All-Pro spent all 18 seasons playing in the AFC. He spent the first 14 years with the Indianapolis Colts before playing with Denver for the final four years of his career. A two-time Super Bowl champion, Peyton brought a title to both franchises he played for and holds the NFL record for most passing yards (5,477) and touchdowns (55) in a season.
NFC Captains: Pete Davidson & Eli Manning
As for the NFC, New York native and Giants fan Pete Davidson will serve as the NFC’s Pro Bowl captain. A stand-up comedian, actor, and writer, Davidson was a member of NBC’s popular sketch show “Saturday Night Live” for eight seasons. Outside of his TV work, Davidson also co-wrote and starred in the 2020 film “The King of Staten Island.”
He’s joined by Eli, who has one of the more interesting NFL careers. While never one of the best QBs year-to-year, Eli has two Super Bowl titles that will go down in NFL history. In the 2007 season, the New England Patriots were one win away from becoming the second undefeated team in NFL history.
The fifth-seeded Giants ruined the party with a fourth-quarter comeback, winning 17-14. Eli would spoil the Patriots’ chances again in 2011. Spending all 16 seasons with the Giants, Eli holds the NFL record for the most passing yards in a single postseason (1,219).
