The NFL’s Thanksgiving slate will once again have heavy entertainment, with the Dallas Cowboys unveiling a big musical act for their annual holiday game. On Sunday, the Cowboys confirmed that Grammy-nominated singer Post Malone will headline their Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show when Dallas hosts the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 27. For Malone, who was raised in North Texas, the Cowboys’ performance will be a full-circle moment.

Dez Bryant Sends a 2-Word Message to Post Malone Performing at AT&T Stadium
Shortly after the Cowboys released the announcement, former Dallas wide receiver Dez Bryant shared a two-word message on X: “88 club ⭐️”

Bryant’s message referred to the Cowboys’ famed “88 club,” the exclusive lineage of legendary Dallas players, including Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin and Bryant himself who wore No. 88. While Post Malone is not related to Bryant, Malone’s father worked for the franchise as manager of concessions for the team, and the musician grew up a dedicated fan.
Over the years, Malone has appeared in the team’s schedule release videos, attended games, and collaborated with the franchise on merchandise and promotions. He was later welcomed into the group chat for the “88 Club.”
For Malone, performing at the team’s Thanksgiving game is the realization of a lifelong dream.
“I’m from Texas. I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years,” he said, via Bleacher Report. “It’s a real honor to be part of the Red Kettle Kickoff with The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys and help bring hope to so many people.”
This year’s show will be the 29th edition of the Red Kettle Kickoff, a signature Cowboys tradition that launches The Salvation Army’s national holiday fundraising campaign. The performance will last under 15 minutes and will be broadcast live during the nationally televised 4:30 p.m. ET game on CBS. Past headliners have included Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Destiny’s Child, Luke Combs, and Reba McEntire, among others.

It will be Malone’s fifth performance at AT&T Stadium, following multiple festival dates and a 2025 headlining show. He has also performed at recent NFL events, including Beyonce’s Christmas Day halftime show in 2024 at NRG Stadium and his pre-game performance of “America the Beautiful” at Super Bowl LVIII.
This year’s game might even draw a larger crowd because quarterback Patrick Mahomes leads the Chiefs, and there is ongoing speculation that Taylor Swift, engaged to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, may attend as well.
