Legendary QB Peyton Manning Makes His Feelings Clear on Aaron Rodgers’ Championship-Caliber Ability Amid Uncertain Future

Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning provides his unfiltered feelings on whether or not Aaron Rodgers can still play football at a high level.

Live at the Memorial Golf Tournament in Ohio, 97.1 The Fan caught up with Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning to chat about a range of NFL topics, including one of the most buzzed-about names in football right now — Aaron Rodgers. The former Colts and Broncos QB didn’t hold back when it came to praising the longtime Green Bay Packers star, who could be heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rodgers’ name has swirled in rumors all offseason, and now that OTAs are underway, many are wondering what’s next. Manning shared his thoughts, and in doing so, he dropped a bold yet hard-to-disagree opinion.

Peyton Manning: Aaron Rodgers Has ‘Arguably One of the Best Arms of All Time’

During an interview with Anthony Rothman of “Rothman and Ice,” Manning was asked whether Rodgers is still capable of leading a team to a Super Bowl. His answer was clear.

“I think so. Look, the guy’s super talent, probably has arguably one of the best arms of all time,” Manning said.

That’s a massive compliment coming from Manning, one of the most cerebral quarterbacks in NFL history. But he’s far from the only one who feels that way.

In fact, Tom Brady brought up Rodgers and Dan Marino in a YouTube video back in April 2025, calling out their unmatched arm strength. And way back in 2018, former NFL tight end Martellus Bennett also praised Rodgers’ arm in comparison to Tom Brady, highlighting how naturally gifted he was at throwing the football.

“He’s just kind of elastic, so I don’t have any insight on that,” Manning added. “Hopefully he gets with a team soon and kinda gets goin’… Be fun to see him back out on the field.”

Rodgers’ Decision Looms as OTAs Begin

As teams report for organized team activities, all eyes are on Rodgers. The Pittsburgh Steelers kicked off OTAs on May 27, and the speculation is heating up.

Rodgers hasn’t made anything official yet, but he recently said on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he’s dealing with personal issues. While he didn’t get into specifics, Rodgers later appeared on “The Joe Rogan Experience” and revealed that some close friends are battling cancer, and that’s been his priority.

Money, according to Rodgers, is not a factor.

“I told every single one of the teams, it’s not about the money … I’ll play for [$10 million], I don’t care,” Rodgers told McAfee. At that price, he’d be the cheapest starting quarterback in the league outside of those on rookie deals.

Still, as Colin Cowherd recently discussed, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler believes Rodgers might also be considering the Minnesota Vikings. So, while the Steelers seem like the frontrunner, it’s not a done deal just yet.

Regardless of where he ends up, it feels more and more likely that Rodgers will suit up again in 2025. And if Peyton Manning thinks he’s still got it, that’s a pretty good endorsement.
