When you are one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL, like Patrick Mahomes II, your family is likely to find themselves caught up in the spotlight. Brittany Mahomes has certainly had that experience since her husband began consistently keeping the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl contention every year.
Brittany has been a polarizing figure among NFL fans. Many love her unwavering support of her husband, who was her high school sweetheart, but others don’t appreciate her outspoken nature. She has been known to defend Patrick vehemently on social media and to make comments about the gameplay or the officials. However, her latest post has drawn nothing but oohs and aahs.

Patrick Mahomes III Provided the Wholesome Content the World Needed Today
Even Brittany’s biggest detractor couldn’t possibly have anything negative to say about her recent social media post. The Mahomes have three children: Sterling Skye, born in 2021; Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, born in 2022; and Golden Raye, born in 2025.
Adorable two-and-a-half-year-old Bronze, as the family calls him, was sitting on his mom’s lap, as shown in one of Brittany’s Instagram stories, posted on X by PopStrom. Brittany asked him what his name was, and he said, “Bronzie.” Then she prompted him to give his “real name.”
“Patrick Mahomes Three,” said little Bronze while holding up three chubby little toddler fingers. This made his mom laugh and tell him, “Nice job!”
Dad responded on his Instagram by adding three “OK” emojis, showing his approval of Bronze’s answer. The Mahomes named young Bronze after his father and grandfather, continuing the family tradition.
Mahomes was selected No. 10 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. Since arriving in Kansas City, he has been selected for six Pro Bowls and has been a two-time first-team All-Pro. He was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2018 and was twice the NFL’s Most Valuable Player.
More impressive than that, the Chiefs and Mahomes have made the playoffs every season since he was drafted. They have made it to five Super Bowls, including their first since 1969, and have won three of them, and Mahomes was named Super Bowl MVP in each.
PFSN’s QB+ metric ranked Mahomes No. 10 among all starting quarterbacks in the league for 2024. He was given a regular-season grade of 84.4 (B) and a playoff grade of 84.8, also a B. It was noted that his QB+ has been about this level over the past few years because he is not playing at quite the same statistical level as when he was younger. However, when the game is on the line, the Chiefs can always count on Mahomes stepping up and doing his part.
The Chiefs rely on Mahomes to be both an accurate passer and a runner in their offense. While he benefited heavily from the yards after the catch his teammates picked up, he converted 62.5% of their third downs, which was a key factor in the team’s success.
Mahomes is often spoken about in the same circle as Tom Brady and Joe Montana as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever. While the Chiefs fell short of their quest to become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row, their work together seems far from done.
