Although the announcement came just a couple of days ago, Mahomes revealed he found out earlier. The quarterback explained that Kelce and Swift called his wife, Brittany, after recording, and he stood in the background of the FaceTime call to listen in.

“I knew before y’all did, just because like they called me after the podcast was done,” Mahomes said. He jokingly added, “They didn’t call me, they called Brittany, I was in the back of the FaceTime.”
It’s a hilarious story from Mahomes, who made it clear that his teammate and Swift were far more excited to share the news with his wife than with him.
