Patrick Mahomes could be in line to have his half-brother, Graham Walker, play on the same team with him this season on the Kansas City Chiefs. The undrafted rookie tight end attended the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp, which was held from Saturday, May 3 through Monday, May 5.
With Travis Kelce nearing retirement, Walker has a chance of receiving an invite to training camp where he could compete for a third-string spot behind backup tight end Noah Gray.
Get To Know Patrick Mahomes’ Half Brother Graham Walker
Mahomes’ most infamous sibling is his younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, who is a social media personality. However, he has three half-siblings — two half-sisters and his half-brother, Walker, who is the third son of Mahomes’ father, Pat Mahomes Sr.
“They say he’s the one who looks most like me, but maybe the other boys will disagree a little bit, but he’s definitely a Mahomes,” Mahomes Sr. said in an interview with Fox 4 in Kansas City.
While Mahomes Sr. is his biological father, Walker was raised by Jessamyn Walker and Gerry Howatt. Howatt and Mahomes Sr. never married.
Walker spent the first three years of his collegiate career as a receiver at Brown University, where he caught 125 passes for 1,465 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. He entered the transfer portal for his final season after deciding he wanted to be a serious football player, per Mahomes Sr. (via Seven Days), and chose Rice University.
In his first year as a tight end, Walker caught 24 passes for 252 yards. Walker had declared for the 2025 NFL Draft but didn’t get picked. Recently, the rookie tight end received an invitation to attend Chiefs rookie minicamp where he’ll be one of 87 players competing for a roster spot, and a possible invite to attend training camp in July.

Looking for Training Camp Invitation From Chiefs
Standing at 6’3″ and weighing 215 pounds, Walker’s physical presence is similar to that of his famous brother. Although they didn’t grow up together, Walker and Mahomes have met multiple times and also share the same agency, Equity Sports.
“[Patrick] is supportive,” Mahomes Sr. said. “He’s supportive as he always is. Hopefully, in this offseason, Patrick will get a chance to throw the football to him as he runs routes as Patrick always has his receivers come down, so we’re looking forward to that.”
The family was hoping Mahomes could help open up an opportunity for Walker, and it seems the QB has done his part.
“You know, his word may be a little good, so maybe he can get [Graham] in the door too,” Mahomes Sr. said.
Walker wasn’t invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. He clocked 4.82 seconds in the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day. He also recorded 18 reps of 225 on the bench press and did the three-cone drill in 7.16 seconds, along with a 34.5-inch vertical jump, and a 114-inch broad jump.
