The 2026 FIFA World Cup has been an absolute celebration across the hosting countries. Even with the relative lack of popularity of soccer in the US, fans from across the world have come together to make it a true spectacle.
It has also brought together a host of celebrities, as cameras regularly pan to some of the biggest household names being in attendance. It was no surprise, then, that the FWC Final also drew some major names to the stadium. Among them was Patrick Mahomes, alongside his wife.
Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes Choose the Same Row This Time
A little over a week ago, during Argentina’s quarterfinal win over Switzerland at Arrowhead Stadium, Mahomes was spotted sitting a row apart from Brittany.
It quickly caught the attention of the internet, as fans continued to poke fun at the situation. However, during the Finals at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the pair were once again in attendance to take in all the action.
This time around, though, the two-time NFL MVP and his wife were in each other’s arms as they shared a picture from the stadium. A Kansas City Chiefs fan page was quick to spot them, captioning the picture, “Patrick and Brittany Mahomes in attendance for the World Cup Final.”

The two, who have been sweethearts since high school, got engaged in September of 2020 at the Chiefs’ home, Arrowhead Stadium. A soccer player herself early in her career, she shifted to a personal trainer role before taking on co-ownership of the Kansas City Current, a women’s professional soccer team.

With two daughters and a son together, they have continued to showcase their relationship, with Brittany a constant presence at Arrowhead during Chiefs games.
As the two took in all the action, Spain and the reigning champions, Argentina, put on a hell of a showcase. Even as the Spaniards dominated control of the ball, the resilient heart of a champion pushed the game to extra time.

However, right at the end of regulation, they suffered a major blow in the form of a red card to Enzo Fernández, who was absent for the entirety of the extra time additions.
Even after a goal was overturned in the first extra time period, Spain finally found the net thanks to a sublime assist from Nico Williams to Ferran Torres just a minute into the second extra time period.
As the Argentinian squad, led by Lionel Messi, tried to find an equalizer, they couldn’t get it done. Instead, at the end of over two hours of play, the referee blew the final whistle, and Spain had won their second World Cup.
