Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce has always been larger than life, but according to analyst Pat McAfee, he might actually be 10 feet tall now.
The former NFL punter and sports personality couldn’t contain his shock and amusement after seeing Kelce’s latest viral appearance alongside Taylor Swift. He joked that the Chiefs’ TE1 may have hit a growth spurt in his 30s.

Taylor Swift and Kelce made headlines after attending a family wedding in Nashville, where the pop superstar stunned in a strapless blue floral dress and towering heels. The couple was spotted dancing, laughing and cozying up throughout the night, but what really caught people’s attention was Kelce’s height compared to Swift.

With Swift wearing massive heels, Kelce looked absurdly tall, leading to McAfee’s hilarious reaction on his show.
Fans on social media immediately noticed how towering Kelce looked, flooding Twitter with jokes about the tight end’s unexpected growth spurt. Some even speculated that Swift’s presence alone was somehow elevating Kelce to new heights, both figuratively and literally.

Speaking with San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle on the June 13th edition of “The Pat McAfee Show“, McAfee couldn’t get over how gigantic Kelce looked next to Swift.
“Travis Kelce is now 10 feet tall,” McAfee said. “Did you see that last night? Taylor was wearing huge heels, and Travis’ head was hitting off the roof. This dude might have grown this offseason. He might be 10 feet tall cause Taylor is very tall.”
McAfee continued to express his bafflement, joking that Kelce might have actually hit a growth spurt at 35 years old.
“He might have hit a growth spurt at 30-plus!” McAfee continued. “We might need to look out for Travis Kelce to have the year of a lifetime.”

While McAfee was obviously joking, the viral moment only added to Kelce’s larger-than-life persona, further solidifying his status as the NFL’s most famous tight end.
Kelce’s Down Year in 2024 Raises Questions
Despite his off-field popularity, Kelce had a down year on the field in 2024. His stats took a noticeable dip compared to previous seasons, only recording 97 receptions, 823 receiving yards, and three touchdowns.
For a player who has consistently been one of the NFL’s top tight ends, these numbers were underwhelming. Kelce struggled with injuries and inconsistent play, leading to speculation about whether he was starting to decline.
McAfee’s joke about Kelce having the year of a lifetime might not be too far off. The Chiefs star has been training hard this offseason and seems motivated to prove he’s still one of the best tight ends in the game.
