Pat McAfee Celebrates Unbelievable NFL Record Set By Colts in Week 2

Former Colts punter Pat McAfee shouted out Indianapolis after the team, led by Daniel Jones, set an NFL record for offensive efficiency in 2025.

One of the biggest surprises through two weeks of the 2025 NFL season has been the effectiveness of the Indianapolis Colts’ offense. After a big win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 1, the Colts picked up where they left off as their offense fueled them to a second win in Week 2 over the Denver Broncos.

With hype at an all-time high in Indianapolis, former Colts punter Pat McAfee gave the team a shoutout after setting an NFL record in Week 2.

Pat McAfee Shouts Out Indianapolis Colts Offense

The Colts decided to go with offseason signing Daniel Jones over Anthony Richardson under center just before the start of the regular season, and the move has paid off dividends for the franchise so far. The Colts are the first team in the Super Bowl Era to not punt through two games.

While many didn’t know what to think heading into Week 2, given how poor the Miami Dolphins looked in Week 1, the Jones and the Colts offense proved it was no fluke. They scored 29 points against a much better Denver Broncos defense. It was also an all-team effort.

Jones completed 23 of 34 passes for 316 yards and a touchdown while also punching another touchdown on the ground. Jonathan Taylor ran back on all cylinders, turning 25 carries into 165 yards. The former Colts punter noticed the effort from his end zone box and even took to X to “shout out” the team’s performance, reposting the NFL’s post with some shouting emojis.

This early-season dominance was unexpected from Jones, who many considered an afterthought heading into the season. While the Colts signed him to a one-year, $14 million contract in the offseason, Indianapolis seemed set on starting Richardson, the franchise’s first-round pick in 2023. However, Jones won the starting job in the preseason, and the offense has been running to perfection ever since.

Jones completed 22 of his 29 passes in Week 1 against the Dolphins for 272 yards and a touchdown while rushing for two more touchdowns. He has limited turnovers and played smart football through two weeks. Against an impressive Denver defense, this could indicate how things will be all season for Indianapolis. If it does continue, Jones will, without a doubt, be the feel-good story of the 2025 season.

The Colts took a chance on Jones with the franchise’s future on the line, and he’s surprisingly delivered so far. Let’s see if he can sustain this level of play, and if not, how long it will last.
