Parker Brailsford’s NFL Draft Potential

Parker Brailsford started 15 games as a true freshman at center in 2023, and was part of the Washington Huskies’ offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award. When head coach Kalen DeBoer left for Alabama, Brailsford followed him to take up the mantle as the team’s starter at the fulcrum. Since then, Brailsford has locked down the spot and proven himself against formidable SEC competition.

At 6’2″, 290 pounds, Brailsford is a unique mold of center prospect — one who doesn’t overwhelm with size or power, but instead with explosive engagement, urgency, and relentless physicality.

Brailsford is an elite athlete with volcanic burst off the line and swarming second-level range, and at his size, he’s nearly unflappable in the leverage battle. In the run game, he can effortlessly get underneath defenders and use his energized leg churn to sustain driving power, and in the pass game, he excels at using his springy lateral mobility to stay square to rushers and gather with active hands.

At under 300 pounds, anchoring elite power can be an issue at times, and Brailsford can get outreached by longer defenders as well — but overall, he competes better than you’d expect in contact situations at his size. With his physical profile, high-level athleticism, and natural leverage, Brailsford bears some striking similarity to Dolphins center Aaron Brewer, who’s become a high-quality starter in the NFL in spite of his size — particularly as an asset in the running game. Brailsford could follow a similar arc, with a particular affinity for wide and outside zone.

CFB Week 9 Update

Brailsford acquitted himself well against a formidable South Carolina front — but in truth, he wasn’t the prime target, as Alabama’s tackles were more often terrorized by the Gamecocks’ speed and athleticism. Brailsford operated the point well, nonetheless.

He got off the ball quickly in the ground game and used his explosiveness, compact mass, and leverage to compete in contact situations, and one reason Simpson was able to step up into the pocket more than once was that Brailsford did his job staying square and walling off interior threats. In a center class that’s relatively open and unsettled, Brailsford’s continued quality play serves him well.

CFB Week 10 Update

Alabama was on a bye in Week 10, but the Crimson Tide will return to action in Week 11 against the LSU Tigers. The Tigers are reeling after the firing of Brian Kelly, but their offense remains in command of a collegiate veteran in Garrett Nussmeier, and the defense will pose a threat to Alabama’s offense with Mansoor Delane and AJ Haulcy looming in the secondary.

Where Is Brailsford Being Selected Most Often in the PFSN Mock Draft Simulator?

Brailsford currently holds the No. 48 overall rank among prospects, positioning him as a Day 2 prospect. His most recent Average Draft Position (ADP) of 50.2 as of October 27 reflects that he is typically being selected in the second or third round.

This small gap between rank and ADP suggests he’s consistently valued among evaluators, even amid fluctuations in player evaluations at this stage of the draft cycle.

Users controlling the Houston Texans have been the team that selected Brailsford the most frequently over the past week, accounting for 2.7% of their picks across all seven rounds.
