Things are spiraling for the Carolina Panthers right now, and they need to stop the rot in a hurry. Week 15 brings the Buffalo Bills, who will be disappointed they couldn’t pull off the comeback win against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Let’s take a look at the Carolina Panthers vs. Buffalo Bills Week 15 matchup, the NFL odds, and make a pick and prediction.
Carolina Panthers vs. Buffalo Bills, pick and prediction | Week 15
- Spread: Bills -10.5 (Odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook)
- Moneyline: Bills -550, Panthers +400
- Over/Under: 43.5
This is not the opponent you want to be facing when your franchise is slowly falling apart before your eyes. The Panthers have started to fall away in recent weeks, having won just one game in their last five (against the Colt McCoy-led Arizona Cardinals).

While the return of Cam Newton makes for an excellent story, it has yet to yield any real results. In fact, since Cam arrived, offensive coordinator and widely respected coach Joe Brady has been fired, and P.J. Walker has come in to replace Cam more than once.
Carolina is conceding too many points, allowing pick-sixes, and having to chase games. Coupled with the patchwork offense they’re trying to throw together right now — it’s never a good thing. It’s also not ideal to go against the Bills in Buffalo. Head coach Matt Rhule is starting to feel the heat. The trade for Sam Darnold has yet to really prosper, and the Panthers are showing signs of regression.
Buffalo might be playing angry this Sunday
Buffalo, on the other hand, will come into this one agitated and looking for a return to winning ways. The Bills have taken two tough losses in a row, fighting it out against the Patriots in a blizzard at home. Subsequently, they had a dramatic comeback against Brady and the Bucs, only to lose that one in overtime. Buffalo is now 7-6 and only one game ahead of their division rival Miami Dolphins. So, they will want to sink Carolina on Sunday.
Panthers vs. Bills betting trends
Carolina’s turmoil has resulted in them losing their last three games against the spread (ATS) and outright. The slide sees them now fall to 5-8 ATS for the season, but they have still cashed the over in their last three matchups.
Buffalo has only won one of their last four ATS, crushing the New Orleans Saints in Week 12. The Bills are 6-6-1 ATS and 6-7 on over/unders.
Panthers vs. Bills prediction
This one looks like a walkover. Carolina would need a fully healthy Christian McCaffrey to have a great day on the ground to stand a chance against a high-scoring Buffalo team in Buffalo’s climate.
Without that, Cam will need to run a lot. If Buffalo can contain that, I don’t see a way for Carolina to keep up.

I think the Bills cover this one fairly easily in a game that could end up a landslide victory. This is a game that could create more questions marks for the Carolina Panthers. This is one of those games that could be 21-0 to Buffalo before the end of the first quarter, and for that reason, I’m going to take the over here, too.
Panthers vs. Bills Prediction: Bills 37, Panthers 14
