Maxx Crosby is undoubtedly one of the finest edge rushers in the game. However, many believe that his talents are being wasted in the Las Vegas Raiders. In steps his former teammate and present cornerback for the Green Bay Packers; Keisean Nixon. The CB went public with his recruitment efforts for Crosby.
Keisean Nixon Wants Maxx Crosby to Represent the Packers Instead of the Raiders
Crosby signed a $94 million extension in 2022 and is under contract with the Raiders till 2026. However, his future is still in the air with the arrival of a new head coach Pete Carrol, the expectations are the defensive end might not stay in Sin City for another rebuild.
This was highlighted by NFL insider Ian Rapoport in his report highlighting that Crosby moving away from Las Vegas could be a win-win situation for both.
“Trading Crosby for a bounty of picks would be one way to expedite that process, and Crosby might welcome the change, particularly if it’s to a playoff team where he knows people (e.g. Green Bay),” he reported.
This excerpt was picked up by one of the Packers’ journalists and posted on X (formerly Twitter). Nixon did not wait much time to tag Crosby in his response to the tweet.

However, if the Raiders end up trading Crosby, the Packers would not be the only team interested in acquiring his services. It’s been rumored that the New England Patriots are also willing to put their hat in if the opportunity presents itself.
Earlier this season, when it looked like the Raiders would not be able to qualify for the playoffs once again, Crosby had claimed that he wasn’t interested in another rebuild. The DE has pointed out on several occasions, that he only has the Lombardi Trophy on his mind.
Earlier this week, the 27-year-old made an appearance on “PFT Live” and highlighted his frustrations with being a Raider for the past six years.
“I’ve had doubts in the past,” he said. “I feel like this past year was the hardest part of my career. Battling through injury the whole year, struggling, losing 10 games in a row. Up here, it makes you start questioning a lot of things.”
