Micah Parsons Speaks Out After Season-Ending ACL Injury

Parsons injured his knee during the Packers’ Week 15 game against the Denver Broncos. It appeared to be highly concerning at the time that it occurred, and his diagnosis ended up being one of the worst case scenarios. His torn ACL officially ends his 2025 season, and he essentially has no chance of being available for the upcoming playoffs.

The superstar edge rusher issued a statement following the devastating news on his social media account the following day. He provided a powerful message for what this could mean for his future in Green Bay.

“I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated. This injury is my greatest test, a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it. I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again,” shared Parsons.

He has lived up to his massive expectations after a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys. He was sent to the Packers after failing to agree with the Cowboys on the terms of a long-term contract extension. They surrendered a massive trade package to acquire him, and rewarded him the largest non-quarterback contract in NFL history, so he was clearly expected to be an immediate game-changer.

He has been exactly that, recording 12.5 sacks this season, the third-most of any player, trailing only Myles Garrett and Brian Burns. He also ranks fifth among all edge rushers in PFSN’s Impact Rankings for this season.

The Packers’ major investment has been paying off in its first year, but they will unfortunately have to finish the season without him. Parsons’ message was full of confidence that he will fully recover and continue being the superstar that they acquired. Still, he has a long road ahead of him after the brutal diagnosis.
