Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr.’s draft stock has been quietly climbing over the past few months. Once just seen as the “other” receiver at Indiana, he’s now the guy, turning heads with his size, athleticism, and production as scouts have gotten more film and data on him.
He’s now in the mix as a potential first-round pick, and it’s easy to see why. Cooper has the physical tools to succeed at the next level, and teams looking for a reliable, playmaking receiver could do a lot worse than him.

The Jets might have other receivers ranked higher on their board, but Cooper is a realistic target if the top guys are gone. New York needs a solid option opposite wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Last season’s passing numbers made that painfully clear.
Quarterback Geno Smith isn’t going anywhere right now, so adding weapons around him is crucial. Cooper’s size, physicality, and ability to make contested catches would give the Jets a real boost and give the passing game someone who can help take pressure off Wilson.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are in an interesting spot with two first-round picks. If they don’t take a receiver at No. 6, Cooper would be a natural fit at No. 24. Their top option right now on the roster is wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and that alone isn’t enough to move the offense forward.
Cooper fits their draft range perfectly. He’s ranked WR4 and No. 31 overall on PFSN’s consensus big board, so taking him with their second first-round pick makes sense. He’d give the Browns an immediate upgrade at receiver and a piece to build around for the future.
Buffalo Bills
Cooper could also make sense for Buffalo at No. 26 if he’s still on the board. At 6-foot, 199 pounds, he has a strong, compact frame and enough athleticism to thrive in the NFL.
