The Winter Olympics are going full speed ahead, but the same may not be true for Team USA. In the last four days, the team has managed just two Olympic gold medals, and although that’s not bad for a start, it certainly doesn’t reflect the talent pool the country boasts.
As Day 5 (February 10) arrives, Team USA has at least three medal events lined up, of which one is confirmed in the curling category. It would be interesting to see how many medals the US contingent adds today.
Overall Medal Tally Of Winter Olympics 2026
As of now, the Norwegian contingent is leading the board, with a whopping six medals (including three gold) from four days of competition. Just behind the team is the Swiss contingent, with a total of five medals (including three gold medals).
Team USA is in the top five, but with just two gold medals in its kitty, the American contingent needs to buck up faster.
Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam overcame the might of American competitor Erin Jackson in the 1000m speed skating race to upgrade her silver medal from the 2022 edition.
