What Did the CEO of USATF Say Regarding the Calendar of Events for the 2026 Season?
Max Siegel, CEO of USATF, recently expressed his views on how the scheduled events aim to support US athletes and develop the sport. Siegel, 60, is a highly experienced member of the USATF and has served as the organisation’s chief executive officer since 2012.
Speaking of the calendar and the events, Siegel said, “The events included in the USATF Tour and the people who work hard to put them on are the backbone of elite-level track and field competition in the United States.”
“We see this tour as not only a way to create the best domestic opportunities for U.S. athletes, but also a way to highlight and amplify the work these events do to grow the sport. As the national governing body, we have access to the experts and information that will drive interest as well as improve performance,” he added further, emphasizing the way these events would help develop the sport.
According to reports, most of the events mentioned in the schedule can be viewed live by viewers through USATF.tv.
