US Figure Skating selected Ilia Malinin and Amber Glenn to lead the 16-athlete roster competing at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina.

U.S. Figure Skating announced that 16 of its athletes, including both men and women, have qualified for the Olympics in Cortina, scheduled to begin in February 2026. Alysa Liu and Amber Glenn are headlining the individual women’s line-up, while Ilia Malinin
Maxim Naumov will be the top male performer to watch out for.

The figure skating events will begin on Feb. 6, 2026, with the team event’s ice dance rhythm dance going first, followed by the pairs short program, and closing out the day with the women’s short program.

A Look into Amber Glenn and Alysa Liu’s Highlights En Route to the Olympics

Liu, the 2025-26 Grand Prix singles champion and the reigning world champion, was the first to post a record score of 81.11 in the women’s short program at the 2026 US Nationals. The 2025 National silver medalist was already on her way to live her record-breaking moment for a little while more when Glenn stunned the figure skating world by smashing the record. She also executed a stunning free skate routine to win the event, thus adding her third straight title to her resume.

The formidable skaters finished first and second in the Nationals, securing their spots on the Olympic team. Isabeau Levito finished third on the podium at the US Championships and subsequently made the Games roster.

The 21-year-old Ilia Malinin amassed his fourth straight National title in 2026. He already boasts two world titles from 2024 and 2025, and stands atop as the only skater to ever land a quadruple axel.

Maxim Naumov booked his Olympic seat after his bronze-place finish at the 2026 US Championships.

Audrey Shin and Balazs Nagy, Valentina Plazas and Maximiliano Fernandez, and Chelsea Liu and Ryan Bedard are going as alternates.

All the figure skating disciplines will take place at the Milano Ice Skating Arena. The women’s single free skate final event will close out the Olympics on Feb. 19, 2026.
