Under Morrison, the Aggies have had promising NCAA Championships campaigns over the years, including an NCAA Regional semifinal appearance last season. However, a Final Four appearance was still missing from his portfolio. Thereby, as the NCAA Regional Final concluded on Sunday in an intense thriller with a scoreline of 3-2 in favor of the Aggies, Morrison took a moment to celebrate the moment with the Regional Final trophy.
The Aggies’ head coach shared the picture on his stories just a day later, while explaining his emotional reaction after the Regional Final Four victory. He noted, “Pretty much sums up how I’m feeling this morning.”

The Aggies now face a new challenge against Pittsburgh in the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championships Final Four, scheduled for Thursday, December 18. The Panthers are coming off a strong 3-1 victory against Purdue in their Regional Final and have been impressive throughout the season, holding a record of 30-4.
A win in this match would secure Texas A&M a spot in the NCAA Championships finals, where they would compete against the winner of the semifinal match between Kentucky and Wisconsin. Meanwhile, Dani Busboom Kelly’s Nebraska Cornhuskers concluded their 2025 season after the defeat, finishing with an impressive 33-1 record and a Big Ten Conference Championship title.

In a recent post-match conference, Morrison detailed his emotions following the intense 3-2 victory over Nebraska. The match reached a dramatic conclusion in the fifth set, where the Aggies fought hard to win 15-13, despite strong performances from Nebraska players like Harper Murray, Bergen Reilly, and Rebekah Allick.
The Aggies’ head coach shed light on the winning moments, stating, “I had a moment after the match where I was so in the moment during that because it was an epic volleyball match, and I tell our players all the time to remember these moments because those are what they’re about. One team gets to win a Championship, but every team gets to create memories. For me, it was just being present in that moment.”
Morrison further added, “I sat on for six minutes afterwards, I just had the realization that we just earned the right to go to the Final Four, and compete and hopefully win two more matches.”
Morrison emphasized that his team’s goal is not yet fulfilled, as they aspire to win the program’s first national volleyball title.
