Georgia GymDogs co-head coach Cecile Landi called on those in nearby regions to come and support the team at its upcoming meets. Landi is also an Olympian and the former coach of Simone Biles.
The University of Georgia has some crucial meets coming up this weekend. On Friday, the GymDogs will face Central Michigan, Fisk, and Temple as part of the program’s alumni night. Then, they will face Auburn on Saturday.
Simone Biles’ Ex-Coach Cecile Landi Invites Fans To Watch Her Team in Action
Landi shared a post from UGA Gymnastics on her Instagram stories and called for people to come and cheer for the GymDogs at the Stegeman Coliseum on Friday and Saturday. Tickets for both meets are still available on the Georgia Dogs website.

“If you need a fun, warm family experience on this upcoming freezing weekend, come see your GymDogs in actin at The Steg,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.
Fans can get tickets for Friday’s event for $12+, while tickets for Saturday’s event start at $17. The live action will get underway at 7 pm EST on Friday and 6 pm EST on Saturday. Both meets will also be broadcast live on SECN+, available on ESPN+ for those looking to watch online.
Landi is co-head coach of the Georgia GymDogs alongside Ryan Roberts. The program currently has a 2-1 record in 2026.
Biles’ Ex-Coach Landi Helped Georgia Claim Upset Win Over LSU
The Georgia GymDogs pulled off a stunning upset earlier this month, defeating the No. 2-ranked LSU Tigers at the Stegeman Coliseum. The 197.200-196.850 win marked an incredible result for Landi and co. as they defeated LSU for the first time since February 2016.
Junior Lily Smith recorded a season high of 9.950 on bars, while Ja’Free Scott also impressed with a 9.900 on bars. Smith was also the star of the show for the GymDogs on the floor, taking second place at the event with a score of 9.950. Afterwards, co-coach Roberts hailed the GymDogs for pulling off an upset and backed his team to give the top programs a run for their money.

“We’re trying to execute on a daily basis and focus on a process daily, do the right things on a daily basis. It cumulates what we did tonight. LSU is a tough team. We’re going to do our normal practice with excellence, and then hopefully come into the competition and do a little bit better than we did today. I think we can give them a run for their money,” he said (via the GymDogs website).
The GymDogs fell short against Oklahoma last week, losing 196.875-198.425. They are currently ranked eighth in the NCAA rankings, with reigning champions Oklahoma leading the way.
