Sha’Carri Richardson recently expressed her feelings for world champion sprinter Christian Coleman. The Olympic champion sprinter has been in a relationship with Coleman for more than a year.
Richardson was involved in a major controversy with Coleman last year, during which she was arrested by local airport authorities. She was later released after Coleman declined to press charges.

Richardson recently shared a slideshow of personal moments with Coleman on Valentine’s Day via her Instagram account. The soon-to-be 26-year-old sprinter also apologized for her past conduct, writing:
“You have always chose to see me despite what the world wants you to believe. I have not made this journey easier for us but I plan on spending a long time doing the work to make it right. We have came wayyyy too far & we’re still going forward ✨. Happy Valentines’ to My King 🌹 @_coleman2”

Coleman responded to the post, commenting:
“Forever and ever I got you boo🤞🏾🤍Love you 5L!!!”
Richardson and Coleman have been together for some time, though they made their relationship public only in late 2024. The reigning relay world champion drew controversy last year after allegedly assaulting Coleman at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, an incident recorded on camera. Authorities arrested her, but Coleman eventually secured her release.
This was not Richardson’s only controversy. She was recently arrested for driving more than 100 miles per hour, exceeding the permissible speed limit, by Orange County police.

Richardson also endured a difficult track and field season, not only because of controversy but also injury. She participated in fewer races than expected and skipped the Grand Slam Track League, conceptualized by former sprinting legend Michael Johnson. She was among the few sprinting stars, alongside Noah Lyles, to miss the tournament entirely.
Richardson did not compete in the Diamond League finals but improved her performance by finishing second in the penultimate race in Brussels, Belgium. The 25-year-old sprinter missed out on an individual medal at the Tokyo World Championships, placing fifth overall. However, she redeemed herself by leading Team USA to gold in the women’s 4×100 relay at the Tokyo World Championships.
