A fan responded to Allick’s comments, calling his daughter Rebekah one of his favorite players and one of the reasons why the team will win the title, to which Melvin responded with:
“Humbled by your thoughts…I was hopeful in 2023 in Tampa that would have happened, but I saw the flicker in her eyes during the press conference and I knew then she was going to go off and bring Husker Nation a well deserved Championship❤️🏐🌽#5,” he wrote, expressing how determined Rebekah is to win a national title.
