Lindsey Vonn is preparing to represent the United States once again at the Winter Olympics. The 41-year-old veteran skier will aim for Olympic glory in her fifth and possibly final attempt.
Vonn has received support from celebrities worldwide in her recent initiative, even as she battles an ACL injury. Tennis star Novak Djokovic has joined in, wishing the former Olympic champion good luck.

Vonn shared posts from several personalities wishing her success ahead of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. She also shared Djokovic’s Instagram story, where he offered a three-word message:
“Let’s go Lindsey.”

Vonn also responded to a physician who questioned whether her participation was possible. On her X account, she wrote:
“My ACL was fully functioning until last Friday. Just because it seems impossible to you doesn’t mean it’s not possible. And yes, my ACL is 100% ruptured. Not 80% or 50%. It’s 100% gone.”
lol thanks doc. My ACL was fully functioning until last Friday. Just because it seems impossible to you doesn’t mean it’s not possible. And yes, my ACL is 100% ruptured. Not 80% or 50%. It’s 100% gone.

Vonn initially retired in 2019 due to recurring knee injuries. After undergoing knee implant surgery, she announced her comeback in late 2024 and earned her first podium finish at a World Cup meet in Sun Valley, Idaho.
She has since collected multiple podium finishes leading up to the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. In December 2025, she became the oldest female skier to win an FIS World Cup meet, triumphing in St. Moritz, Switzerland. She currently leads the women’s downhill category in the FIS World Cup standings.
Although the path to Olympic gold is challenging, Vonn is determined to reclaim her place among the sport’s greats. Even a podium finish would be historic for the veteran skier. The women’s downhill event is scheduled for Feb. 8, a day after the men’s downhill competition.
