Noah Lyles recently expressed his thoughts on his fiancée and Jamaican sprinter Junelle Bromfield’s unique present for him. Lyles had recently returned from his unexpected trip to India.

Junelle Bromfield’s Gift for Noah Lyles

Bromfield recorded a reel from her visit to the airport, where she would be receiving her fiancé. The 27-year-old Jamaican sprinter revealed in the reel shared on Instagram,

“I’m going to the airport to pick up Noah and I’m so excited, you guys. I left the house before even starting this video. I was like, you know what? I don’t want to be late, but he’s coming from India. He had a four hour drive, a ten and a half hour flight. Then he had a seven hour and then another nine and a half hour flights.”

When Lyles opened the gift, he couldn’t believe it. Bromfield had decided to gift him a collection of Pokémon cards, and the Olympic champion sprinter could barely control his emotions.

Bromfield has been dating Lyles for a long time. Although they had known each other since 2017, it wasn’t until 2022 that the couple confirmed being in a relationship. Lyles and Bromfield announced their engagement in late 2024.

Lyles’ Performance This Season

After creating history at the 2024 Paris Olympics, a lot was expected from Lyles. The 28-year-old sprinter didn’t disappoint either. The Olympic champion sprinter was one of the rare few athletes who didn’t participate in the much-publicized Grand Slam Track League, which is now on the verge of bankruptcy.

Lyles opened his account with the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, where he won the men’s 60m dash, as well as the men’s 4x100m relay. He also tried his luck after a long time in the 400m event at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational meet, though he ended up in fifth position.

The 28-year-old athlete qualified for the World Championships by virtue of his performance at the previous edition held in Budapest. Yet, Lyles shone at the National Championships, winning the 200m event without any trouble.

After winning the Diamond League title after three years, Lyles set his eyes on another golden hat-trick at the World Championships in Tokyo. Though he missed out on a hat-trick of gold medals, the American sprinter still completed a hat-trick of medals as he won a bronze medal in 100m, a gold medal in 200m, and a gold medal in the men’s 4x400m relay.
