American freestyle skier Nick Goepper announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Corinn Childs before heading to the Cortina Olympics 2026, scheduled to begin in February. He will be Indiana’s only representative on the US roster in the Winter Games this year.
Goepper capped his career as a three-time Olympic medalist in freeski slopestyle in 2023, but soon overturned it and continues to compete actively.

Goepper, who began skiing at the age of five, put Indiana on the map with the stellar career he forged. He was a bronze medalist at the Sochi Games in 2014 and upgraded to silver in 2018 after achieving a podium finish in slopestyle. In the 2022 Beijing edition, he repeated his feat by adding another silver to his resume.
Amid his career involvements, the 31-year-old had a loving relationship with Lizzy Braun, whom he publicly announced his engagement to in 2018 and married in 2019. However, later, as per their social media handles, the couple appeared to have separated, even unfollowing each other.
The skier was later linked to Corinn Childs, who appears to be interested in skiing as well, according to her Instagram profile, and announced their engagement in a recent post.
The Olympic medalist shared a couple of pictures from the memorable day, featuring Goepper on one knee proposing to Childs, along with loved-up moments from the couple. He expressed his love for his fiancée in the caption, writing:
“I love your smile, your laugh, and your sense of humor. I love your glow when you walk into a room. I feel your warmth even when I’m away. We make each other better in every way. There is nothing in this world we can’t accomplish together.”
Goepper found his rhythm back after coming back from retirement and qualified for the men’s halfpipe team at the Winter Olympics.

The Winter X Games were underway in Aspen for the 25th time since 2002 at Buttermilk Ski Arena. From January 23–25, the event was the largest since 2020, which took place just months before the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the 2026 edition, Goepper returned to one of the most notable events of his career, which he debuted at in 2012, and extended his medal count to eight.
The 31-year-old took silver in the men’s ski superpipe and later shouted out to the incredible crowd and all the support he received after being away for 18 months. He also anticipated the Winter Games he will compete in next month.
