New Balance Indoor Grand Prix 2026 Final Results: Noah Lyles Faces First Upset of the Season

Here are the complete results of the 2026 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.

The New Balance Indoor Grand Prix recently concluded in Boston. The annual track and field meet is one of the first major gold-standard events on the World Athletics Continental Tour each season.

The meet saw several athletes, including Josh Hoey, reach new heights. However, it also featured an early-season upset, as reigning world champion in the 200m Noah Lyles suffered his first loss of the year.

New Balance Indoor Grand Prix Final Results: Josh Hoey Creates New World Record, While Noah Lyles Faces Upset

The New Balance Indoor Grand Prix was relatively uneventful aside from two standout races: the men’s 800m (indoor) and the men’s 300m. Lyles opted to compete in the 300m instead of his traditional 60m dash. However, he was unprepared for the challenge from Trinidadian athlete Jereem Richards, who defeated him by one-hundredth of a second. Richards won with a time of 32.14 seconds, while Lyles finished second at 32.15.
