Nebraska Volleyball player Bergen Reilly isn’t the only one among her close ones to play for the Huskers, but her boyfriend, Cale Jacobsen, also plays for this institution. Jacobsen, currently in his junior year of college, competes for the University’s basketball team as a guard.
Reilly’s boyfriend recently delivered an impressive performance against the Oklahoma Sooners, helping his team secure a 105-99 victory in a close encounter, leaving Riley impressed. The pair has been together for over two years now and are seen alongside each other often in their off-time from their respective sports.
How Did Nebraska Volleyball’s Reilly React to Boyfriend’s Season-Best Performance So Far?
Jacobsen secured 10 points for his team in the match at the Sanford Pentagon on Saturday, including six assists and two rebounds. This performance helped his team extend its winning streak to eight games, with its last defeat occurring back in April against Iowa.
This impressive performance left Jacobsen’s girlfriend, Reilly, speechless. She reacted to this performance on her Instagram stories with a couple of emojis to express her pride in her boyfriend’s performance against the Sooners.

In Nebraska’s four matches in the 2025-26 season so far, Jacobsen has secured 20 points for the team, including his season-best game against the Sooners. His other performances include scoring five points each against West Georgia and FIU. Meanwhile, Reilly is also having an impressive season with the Huskers volleyball team, recording 773 assists and 198 digs to her name.
Reilly Highlights the Support the Nebraska Cornhuskers Receive in Their Games
Being at the helm of a volleyball-loving state, the Nebraska Cornhuskers have been loved and cheered immensely over the years. This is also validated by the attendance at Nebraska’s home and away games, which demonstrates that the fan base is an essential part of the team’s support group.
The Nebraska setter shed light on the support of enthusiastic fans, particularly during the away games, stating, “I mean, they sell our gym every single game, and we don’t take it for granted. We realize how special that is, especially when we go on the road, and it’s an away trip, even the away team is shocked at how many people are there because we’re there.”
Reilly will be in action at the Galen Center on Sunday against the USC Trojans, as the Huskers look to clinch another away victory this week, following a 3-1 heroics against the UCLA Bruins.
