This year’s NCAA Volleyball season will see a significant transformation. While the Nebraska Volleyball team chose to stay united, not everyone is that lucky. Several players applied for the transfer portal by the end of the 2025-26 season.
While multiple players applied for the transfer portal, here are some of the most popular transfers for the current NCAA Volleyball season:
Top 5 NCAA Volleyball Transfers Of 2026-27 Season ft. Izzy Starck, Ayden Ames
1) Izzy Starck
Starck is one of the most high-profile transfers, who made the switch from the Penn State Nittany Lions to the Pittsburgh Panthers. She joined the Nittany Lions in the 2024 season, the same year Penn State won the 2024 NCAA Championships, and was named AVCA Freshman Of The Year.
However, Starck took a break from the 2025 season due to her mental health. She later applied for a transfer to the Pittsburgh Panthers, which had qualified for the semifinals of the 2025 NCAA Championships, before losing to the Texas A&M Aggies, who went on to win their maiden NCAA title.
2) Ayden Ames
Another interesting transfer is that of Ayden Ames. The middle blocker was a part of the Texas Longhorns, the five-time NCAA Champions. The Longhorns had made it to the Regional Finals, where they were upstaged by the Wisconsin Badgers, who proceeded to the semifinals.
Following the 2025 season, Ames entered the transfer portal before being picked up by the Creighton Bluejays for the 2026 season. The Bluejays had qualified for the Regional Finals as well before going down 0-3 to the Kentucky Wildcats, who finished as runners-up.
3) Alexis Stucky
Stucky previously represented the Florida Gators as a setter. She recorded an impressive 1062 assists in the previous season, before eventually choosing to join the Penn State Nittany Lions for the upcoming season.
