Texas A&M Volleyball’s Logan Lednicky Sheds Light on the Aggies’ Dominance at the Playoffs
Texas A&M Volleyball has been nothing but a surprise in the NCAA Tournament this year, defeating Campbell, TCU, Louisville, Nebraska, and Pittsburgh to punch its first Championship ticket. It’s their grit and determination that brought them this far, with great efforts from seniors Kyndal Stowers, Lednicky, Ifenna Cos-Okpalla, and Maddie Waak.
Opposite hitter Lednicky, who recorded 11 kills in the championship sweep, expressed her emotions in a post-match courtside interview alongside Cos-Okpalla. She said the Texas A&M team had always aspired to take the program to greater heights, and now that they had achieved it, the moment felt like a dream come true, surpassing their wildest imagination.
Lednicky said: “We said this a million times, but wanted to build this program. This is beyond my wildest dreams for what we thought we could build this program into. And just like getting to do it alongside the people who have been here from the beginning means the absolute world to me.”
Waak, who recorded 29 assists in the match, crushed a set through the middle as Cos-Okpalla delivered the championship point. Stowers followed with 10 kills, while Cos-Okpalla added eight, contributing on both the offensive and defensive ends.

She led the Aggies with 18 kills against Campbell, followed it with a standout all-around performance of 20 kills and 12 digs in the Sweet Sixteen, recorded 14 kills in the Final Four, and added 11 in the championship match, extending her double-digit kill streak across consecutive rounds.
In a press conference after the Final Four, the opposite hitter reflected on her team’s dominance and how they succeeded with flying colors, having given their all both in practice and on the court. She also expressed confidence in the national title win, taking pride in the Aggies’ ability to strike at the right moments, regardless of their opponents’ strength.
