Nebraska Volleyball alum Lexi Rodriguez commended Logan Lednicky for being a standout performer in the 2025 NCAA Finals, where the Texas A&M outpaced the 2021 National Champions, Kentucky Wildcats, in a thrilling three-setter. The Aggies claimed their first-ever national title, delivering just as head coach Jamie Morrison had predicted in the lead-up to the playoffs.
Lexi Rodriguez Heaps Praise on Aggies’ Star Performer Logan Lednicky
Rodriguez, who was part of the 2024 NCAA Semifinals, capped her collegiate career last year, but never dissociated herself from college volleyball, often sending her support to players. After the Aggies’ recent win, she shared the news on her Instagram story, expressing pride in opposite hitter Lednicky, who led the team with 11 kills at the electric T-Mobile Centre in Kentucky.
“You’re a Natty Champ @loganlednicky, so proud of you,” Rodriguez captioned.

The Wildcats, coming off an SEC Tournament title and a perfect SEC record, took an early lead in the opening minutes of the final. Texas A&M didn’t take long to respond, regaining its footing, maintaining the momentum, and ultimately pulling off a clean sweep, 26–24, 25–15, 25–20. Senior Kyndal Stowers also contributed double-digit kills, limiting Wildcats standout Eva Hudson’s impact despite her recording 13 kills.

Rodriguez had a different champion in her head ahead of the finals. In a post with her fellow LOVB teammates, she had predicted Kentucky to win the Playoffs.
Rodriguez was Hopeful of the Huskers’ Win in the 2025 NCAA Finals
Rodriguez has been one of the most prominent players in the Big Red, capping her career with a school-record 1,897 digs. She earned all-conference honors four times and was named an All-American on four occasions, cementing her status as a true leader. However, the disappointment of not winning a national title lingered until her final day at Nebraska.
This year, she was hopeful that the Cornhuskers would win the title, considering their 33–0 overall record and a perfect 20–0 mark in Big Ten play. In an interview with Hail Varsity and Hurdaat Sports, she had put her faith in Nebraska, especially because she had seen them locked in during practice and deliver with the same grit on the court. She also doffed her hat to the staff responsible for helping the Big Reds to maintain an invincible streak.
Rodriguez received the AAU Sullivan Award and the Nebraska’s Most Outstanding Female Student-Athlete honor in the 2024-25 season. She was also honored as the Nebraska Female Athlete of the Year, among other recognitions.
