‘God Didn’t Create Me Just to Walk on Earth’- Jordan Chiles Shares How Faith Inspires Her to Live With Purpose

Jordan Chiles opens up about the role of God behind her success in every spectrum of life that inspires her to work harder.

Jordan Chiles’ success on the gymnastics mat, as well as outside of it, is rooted in a deep faith she has in God. The American gymnast is one of the stalwarts of the sport in recent years, with great performances for both the United States and the collegiate team, the UCLA Bruins.

Moreover, she has also made headlines through notable works, including the publication of her memoir and her appearance on the show Dancing With the Stars. At the center of all these successes, Chiles has credited none other than her faith, which has helped give her a purpose.

What Did Jordan Chiles Say About Her Faith in God?

Over the years, Chiles has been quite vocal about her beliefs towards faith and God. Even after winning the gold medal in the team competition at the Paris Olympics last year, the 24-year-old credited God for fulfilling the dreams she had nurtured since her early years.

Chiles explained her belief in God in a recent interview, stating that there’s a definite reason and path that the Almighty has scripted for everyone. She said, “God didn’t create me just to walk on the earth. He didn’t create me just to have this resilient like just for me to be in my bed and be all pretty. No, that’s not how it works.”

Chiles is currently exploring her external endeavors with Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars and has been performing quite well so far. In the recent episode of the show, Chiles and her dance partner, Ezra Sosa, put up a performance to “Get Up” by Ciara and registered 39 points to finish fifth.

Chiles Lauds the Environment Around the DWTS Crew

Chiles recently shed light on the friendly atmosphere around the DWTS backstage that helps her immensely to enjoy herself in this new journey. Notably, in recent weeks, the American gymnast has enjoyed some amicable time with her partner, Sosa, during practice sessions.

Chiles opened up about this environment, in a concersation, stating, “We all know that it is a competition; obviously, we all want to win a mirror ball but I think the best thing is just being able to have that relationship with everyone, whether it’s a celebrity, whether it’s a pro, whether it’s the show crew, and that’s what makes it really fun and enjoyable.”
