Jordan Chiles Praises UCLA Bruins’ Grit and Pauley Pavilion Energy After 2026 Big Ten Championships Win

Jordan Chiles continued to impress in her collegiate career by helping the UCLA Bruins win the Big Ten regular season title in the Big Four Meet.

As the 2026 NCAA Gymnastics season hits its stride, Jordan Chiles is dazzling fans and judges alike, stacking up even more accolades in her stellar collegiate journey. Competing for the UCLA Bruins, Chiles has burst out of the gate, shattering records with her eighth Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honor and delivering standout performances across several meets.

On February 27, Chiles and the Bruins squared off against No. 18 Iowa, No. 19 Ohio State, and No. 25 Maryland in the electrifying Big Four Meet at UCLA, where the Bruins emerged triumphant.

Jordan Chiles After Clinching Big Ten Championship

The win in the Big Four meet secured the Big Ten title for UCLA, which finished first with a 7-0 conference record. This is also the team’s second consecutive Big Ten title, with the Bruins now holding a 15-0 record in conference play since joining the Big Ten a year ago.

Following their victory, Chiles shared her thoughts on both the team’s performance and the thrill of capturing another Big Ten title:

“It honestly means a lot, the Bruins have been working really hard in the gym, and just being able to come here and do our job as best as we could, I think that’s the biggest thing. The trophy means everything to us, and we’re just going to keep working hard.”

She also discussed the atmosphere in the stadium, adding: “The energy that Pauley [Pauley Pavilion] gives everytime we have a home meet just means everything. Knowing that I have only one more time to do that, it’s bittersweet, but I’ve been able to come out here and perform to the best of my ability and really give Pauley the LA show that we need, so really happy I got to do it one more time.”

Chiles and the Bruins put up a total of 196.950 to finish first in the meet, with Iowa in second with 196.475. Ohio State and Maryland finished in third and fourth, respectively.

A Look At Chiles’ 2026 Season

This season, Chiles has delivered show-stopping routines, earning perfect 10s on floor against Michigan State and Washington, and notching her first-ever vault 10 against Washington.

In the Big Four meet, she dazzled with a leading all-around score of 39.625, highlighted by a 9.950 on vault.

With the Big Ten title in hand, Chiles now sets her sights on guiding the Bruins toward a national championship.

Last year, the team finished just behind Oklahoma, while Chiles herself captured NCAA gold on the uneven bars and placed fifth in the all-around.
