Carey and Sinacola have recently made their relationship public, sharing joyful snapshots of themselves together on social media. Sinacola, who leads creative content for the University of Oregon’s athletics department, first crossed paths with Carey through their professional circles. This milestone also marked a deeply personal moment for Carey, as she opened up about her sexuality for the first time.
The couple witnessed a thrilling NWSL final, with Gotham FC’s Rose Lavelle netting the decisive goal in the 80th minute, sealing the team’s second league title in just three years.

After completing her senior season with Oregon State last year, Carey returned to the Beavers to take on the role of Student Assistant Coach, working under Head Coach Tanya Chaplin. Ahead of their NCAA season in January, there is no doubt that Carey will bring a tremendous amount of experience to the team.
Carey Reveals Reason Behind Break From Gymnastics This Season
Carey spent three remarkable years with the Beavers, competing through 2024 before representing Team USA at the Paris Olympics. Her collegiate journey was decorated with honors, including the AAI Award and six NCAA Championship medals. After finishing on a triumphant note, Carey shared her reasons for stepping back from elite gymnastics this season.
As per Olympics.com, she said: “I think after having the college season and just having so much fun and only focusing on that, I didn’t wanna do this summer because I wanted to end on just being able to focus on college gymnastics and take a break.”
She also revealed her sights are set on the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, emphasizing the importance of rest and recovery before the next big stage. With gold medals from her previous Olympic outings, Carey is determined to chase glory once more.
