Nebraska Volleyball player Harper Murray was seen spending a cherished moment with a young companion ahead of the Minnesota Gophers game at the Maturi Pavilion on Saturday. The match concluded in Nebraska’s favor as Murray and co. bagged another clean sweep in their season to register their 24th consecutive victory.
Amid this busy volleyball schedule and constant games week by week, the Huskers’ junior managed some time to spend with a family member.
Young Companion That Nebraska Volleyball’s Harper Murray Spent Time With
The young companion who was seen with Murray before the away game in Minnesota was her little cousin. The Nebraska hitter shared a post on her Instagram stories, featuring glimpses of her time with her cousin.
In the post, Murray can be seen playing cheerfully with the little one as the latter sits comfortably in the volleyball player’s lap. She further added in her story, “meeting my baby cousin.”

Murray played a handy role in the latest Nebraska match against Minnesota, scoring seven kills and complementing it with 12 digs to continue her in-form season this year. Her teammates, Andi Jackson, Taylor Landfair, and Rebekah Allick, were other major contributors in the game with 15, 11, and 10 kills to their names. So far in the season, Murray has racked up impressive numbers, with 264 kills and 169 digs to her name.
What Did Murray Say After Winning a Major Honor From the Big Ten?
Murray made her feelings known upon receiving the Big Ten Player of the Week award last month, courtesy of her 12 and 16 kills against Washington and Purdue. Several other players from the Nebraska setter, such as Bergen Reilly and Rebekah Allick, have been part of the Big Ten Awards of the Week this season.
During a recent press conference, Murray expressed gratitude for receiving the award. She said, “It feels great. I feel like the Big 10 does a great job of recognizing people all across the conference, and I’m grateful that they saw that in me the past week. So, I don’t know, the Tate McRae concert must have fired something in me for sure.
The Nebraska setter further emphasized the teamwork that enables players to succeed individually on the court. “I’m just grateful, and I’m really glad that they recognized that, but I feel like we all have been putting in the work. So, I feel like it’s eventually going to show for everyone,” she added.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers’ next assignment is an away contest against UCLA on November 14 at the Pauley Pavilion. The match is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. CST.
